Job Description

Lectrus Corporation, the world’s largest manufacturer of equipment centers and electrical enclosures, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager at the Corporate office in Chattanooga.  The Quality Assurance Manager will establish, coordinate, direct, and maintain the company quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards, and highest level of product quality and service to all customers.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.

  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives, and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs.
  • Lead a team of Quality professionals to drive Quality in a positive and constructive manner throughout the company in all locations.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain an effective ISO9000 compliant program, utilizing state of the art electronic media/software for document retention and approval routing.
  • Drive company quality performance in areas of rejects, scrap, rework, supplier quality performance, etc.
  • Keep management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.

  • Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to quality and reliability.

  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist employees in solving work problems.

  • Recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and corrective action.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding quality and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Develop and deploy programs and policies across the company to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
